Resumen
Background:
The most common disease in women is breast cancer which has become a public health problem in both developing and developed countries. The diagnosis of this disease causes serious repercussions on the patient and her family, resulting in uncertainty, insecurity, mistrust of future conditions, which involves developing pathologies and emotional disorders.
General objective:
Determine the Uncertainty in women diagnosed with breast cancer treated at the "Jose Carrasco Arteaga Hospital " September 2019 - April 2020, Cuenca.
Materials and methods:
This study is a cross-cutting descriptive of quantitative approach, in which a sample of 82 women attended at the Hospital "José Carrasco Arteaga" were taken to be part of this study. The validated test in nursing sciences was used as a research tool to determine Uncertainty in Dr. Merle Mishel's disease; the data were statistically analyzed using the SPSS V15 program.
Results:
According to the data obtained from the women surveyed with Breast Cancer Diagnosis by means of a quantitative study, with descriptive scope, non-experimental design of cross section with a population of 82 patients it is concluded that they have a low level of uncertainty with a representation of 55% of the participants, 16% with indifferent level of uncertainty and 29% present a high level of uncertainty.
