Resumen
Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a highly prevalent disease worldwide 17%; CKD management has historically been aimed at specific diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease and dialysis. Hemodialysis (HD) is an invasive procedure that is not free of complications produce itself, besides hemodialysis patients are constantly at risk of developing complications that impair their quality of life. Complications include hypotension (55.4%), inadequate treatment (20.3%), coagulation system (7.5%) and infection (2.5%). The ischemic colitis is a disease in increase in their incidence in patients on hemodialysis.
Objective: To identify the most frequent complications during the hemodialysis treatment in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Hemodial Azogues 2015.
Methods and Materials: A cross-sectional study was conducted over a period of six months. The study was conducted with 77 patients who come to hemodialysis in the Renal Unit Hemodial Azogues. For the data collection sheet was used for recording incidents and/or complications during the hemodialysis treatment, later information was tabulated and analyzed by the researchers through software: Microsoft Excel 2013 and SPSS 2008 1.7.0.0.
Results: It was determined that the hematological disorders rank first with an incidence of 25% during the study period, followed by cramps, itching, and abdominal pain, encompassed within the variable other with 25 %, in third place was obtained the condensation of the dialyzer with an incidence of 12.5 %. It is presented also fails for the FAV/AV, loss of blood > 150cc, clotting of the dialyzer, hypotension, mild to moderate Severe hypotension and infiltration of the Vascular Access all these with 6.25 % incidence in our study.
Conclusion: To be the hemodialysis a invasive treatment this is not free from complications during the same, on the basis of the obtained results we can conclude that the most frequent complications are: Failure of the FAV/AV, condensation of the dialyzer, loss of blood > 150cc, clotting of the dialyzer, hypotension, mild to moderate Severe hypotension, blood transfusions, infiltration of vascular access, others (itching, cramps and abdominal pain).
