dc.description.abstractObjective: To determine the depression in outpatient perimenopausal patients of the Regional Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso, 2017. Methods and Materials: Descriptive quantitative study, performed at the Vicente Corral Moscoso Regional Hospital (HVCM). The sample consisted of 323 women between the ages of 35 and 50 who attend Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital (HVCM). The information was collected through a survey using a questionnaire designed for this purpose. The Hamilton Depression Scale (validated by Ramos-Brieva et al) was applied. The information was tabulated using Microsoft Excel 2010 and SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) 15.0. Bar and pie charts and graphs were used for data analysis. Results: A total of 323 women aged 35-50 years were interviewed in the variable Depression in perimenopausal patients, 60% of the sample had no symptoms of Depression in the perimenopausal period, but 23% had evidence of symptoms of Depression Minor, 8% with symptoms of Moderate Depression, 5% with symptoms of Severe Depression and 3% with symptoms of Light Depression, which generates 40% of women who presented some type of Depression during the perimenopausal period. Conclusions: It was determined that a significant percentage (40%) of women suffering from some form of depression (mild, minor, moderate and severe) are in the perimenopausal age
