dc.description.abstractThis study shows that during the year 1999 were performed 156 autopsies of these the 65.38 percent were made by the courts of transit; the most common age corresponds to range between 20 and 59 years with a rate of 55 percent; the highest incidence were male with 72 percent. As for the quality of autopsies found that 97 percent of the 156 present weaknesses regarding their development by the lack of anatomical data and legal, such as medical semiology: weights are ignored by 96 percent, organs 96 percent are not properly explained the mechanism of death by 39 percent so that there is no relationship between the mechanism and cause of death by 41 percent, there was a relationship between the killer and the protocol description by 98 percent. There was an absence of tanatocronodiagnóstico 60 percent. Regarding the cause of death the device that best cardiovascular affection was at 49 percent, the kind of doctor who performed the autposias were lawyers at 96 percent. In conclusion there are serious deficiencies in the quality of the preparation of the autopsy protocol because it does not hold in some casosel Code of Criminal Procedure. It should follow a predetermined protocol
