Abstract

We present a proposal of nursing participation in the care of patients burned in the area of surgery of the hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso. The history of the hospital is described, from its beginnings to its present constitution, its physical structure, the number of personnel who work, focusing on the area of surgery. Anatomy and physiology of the skin are detailed; Is focused on burns: concept, signs, symptoms, pathophysiology, treatment and nursing care for this type of patients. Results, conclusions and recommendations: nursing care is not satisfactory, staff is dedicated to routine care, lack of scientific knowledge. Justify the proposal
