Resumen
The purpose of this study of bibliographic review was to analyze the
importance of postural hygiene and the realization of active breaks, in addition to
supporting the theoretical elements that speak about active breaks and skeletal muscle
disorders in workers both in the administrative area and in work that require physical
strength, the publications were systematically searched in different databases, without
restriction of language in the vast majority from the year 2010, applying selection criteria
which were previously established, a total of 11 articles were chosen. The results of the
analysis of these articles show that active pauses have positive effects on skeletal muscles
disorders (MSD), relieving pain and discomfort in the main areas such as shoulders, neck
and back, although there was also a discrepancy compared to articles. who mention that
after a few months there were no positive effects and even some participants had a
regression of these benefits despite continuing with active breaks, this is attributed to the
fact that the same exercises are always repeated over a long period of time. In conclusion,
active breaks are beneficial for the prevention of MSDs, but it should be taken into
account that the exercises should be varied every 3 months to have long-term results.
