Currently, society is going through a moral crisis that manifests itself in violent and self-centered attitudes and actions, and this social problem, among other aspects, has generated the need to promote educational proposals that promote an integral formation based on the exercise of values. However, the lack of knowledge on the part of teachers about how to promote the practice of values and what strategies to use is the main obstacle to developing an integral education. For this reason, this bibliographic research aims to demonstrate the usefulness and importance of the game as a didactic tool that allows the practice of values and a good coexistence in educational contexts. Thus, a study is carried out on the game, its characteristics, types, contributions to human development, stages, the vitality of its use in educational contexts and the role of the teacher; In addition, the values are investigated, the way they arise and learn is analyzed, the importance of using educational strategies that favor the practice of values from daily cohabitation is highlighted; and based on the study of the two categories, the way in which the game contributes to the praxis of values is analyzed and some games oriented to that objective are suggested. In this way, it is concluded that one of the strategies that facilitates the exercise of values and harmonious coexistence in school is the game because it provides the opportunity to learn and train in a comprehensive, free and enjoyable way.
