Resumen
As part of the educational policies that were carried out by the progressive government of Uruguay, the National Program of Sexual Education was implemented at the elementary, high, technical and teacher training
levels throughout the country since 2007. By means of a slow process of institutionalization, it seems that the incorporation of this issue to the public education system in the different levels of formal education is becoming
effective. As part of the process during 2009, three research projects with national scope were carried out in order to provide information about different features of the problem. One of them that I was able to design and
run is named “Care of boys and girls, children and adolescents. Discourses and daily practices on sex and rights in the national educative system”. This communication has two purposes: the first consists of the presentation of the research context and its design; the second shows some conflicts that were
brought into play during the process among the research team, the hiring institution and the children and adolescent´s demands. Through this paper where the conflicts stand out, we wish to contribute to the reflection of the social research processes that take place in Latin America.
