Resumen
The progressive disappearance of the traditional rural architecture of the Ecuadorian highlands raises the urgent need for its conservation. One of the primary actions of conservation of built cultural heritage are inventories that allow to know the majority of the characteristics that the buildings present. The structure and content of the INPC's 1988 and 2014 real estate inventory sheets, which were drawn up for the Chiquintad parish, were analyzed. The charts analyzed in spite of providing us with excellent information about the physical characteristics do not deepen aspects of the relationship between the community and the real estate. For this reason, in this work, the perspective of the community was collected through various techniques (discourse analysis, actor mapping, and interviews). This information and the main components of the file were integrated in a matrix that is proposed to evaluate the patrimonial importance of the buildings. This matrix contains information on values of community technicians and values, ranked on a scale of importance from 0 to 9. From this valuation the total average and an index of equity values (community values/ technical values) were determined. The results of the application of the proposed system indicate that most of the goods studied have a very strong patrimonial importance. They also show that in most cases the weights of the influence of community values and technical values are in balance. Finally, they allow us to know which buildings have the highest conservation priority.
