Resumen
For the important remains of the Cañari and Incan peoples, the Cañar canton is considered the Archeological and Cultural Capital of Ecuador due to its great natural, cultural and human wealth.
The principal and most visited site among the archeological sites of this reigion is the Archeological Complex of Ingapirca. In this Complex is the “IntiHuayco” path, a place rich in history and archeology named for a Kichwa word meaning the place of the sun.
As an inheritance that is maintained until the present-day, the Cañaris that lived in this region left the language and the cosomovision of the Cañari people. Later, the first Incans came through this land and left important archeological remains that allow us to travel into the past to interpret both their way of life and their cultural manifestations. In the same way, the first mestizos also used this path, which continues to exist until the present-day.
This present research work named “Proposal to improve the IntiHuayco path in the Archeological Complex of Ingapirca, Cañar Province” has the purpose of improving the visitor's experience by providing a safe space to walk and the necessary information to enjoy the natural and cultural environment while enriching their knowledge and generating respect for the site.
This proposal will permit the visitor to spend more time in the area and, in this way, the community will benefit from this activity.
The administration of the Archeological Complex of Ingapirca will take charge of the execution and transmission of this proposed work.
