Resumen
The purpose of this work was generating three-dimensional models of sculptures, for its later
application in marble using the carving with relief in a router. Due to the fact that the process of
carving sculptures in different materials in a router is done in less time compared to the
elaboration of hand carving, it is an innovative process and of lower price. The design
methodology of Bruno Munari was used to collect information from which the data obtained
indicated that the detail in the three-dimensional models is an important point at the time of
creating attraction to the product. This detail was obtained with the data from the assessment
sheet, with which it was assessed whether size, detail, depth and symmetry play an important
role in the development of the three-dimensional sculpture. The obtained results deduced that
quality material should be implemented and, suitable blades for the development of the carving
on the machine, this helps that the details of each sculpture become more clearly observed,
without forgetting that there are sculptures with diverse purposes of which, some of them have
more detail as in decoration and, tombstone sculptures that have a simpler level of detail.
Therefore, the use of suitable materials, such as blades, help the user to handle different types of
three-dimensional models to be used in the router, leaving aside the use of artcam software as a
tool that facilitates the user's workflow in cost and time.
