Inclusión productiva de los beneficiarios y familias de la Fundación “Protección y Descanso” con la metodología de desarrollo de cadenas locales del MIPRO

Abstract

This work's objective was to identify undertakings for the productive inclusion of beneficiaries with intellectual disabilities and their families who are members of the “Fundación Protección y Descanso” in the city of Riobamba based on the methodology of development of local chains of the “Ministerio de Industrias y Productividad”. To carry out the project mentioned above, we proceed to the definition of the problems that originated the topic; subsequently, it was essential to include several bibliographic sources in the document. Regarding the methodological framework, qualitative research was crucial to develop the description of the facts, and quantitative research was necessary to calculate the financial projections where the Present Net Value and the Internal Rate of Return. The principal proposal was to carry out entrepreneurship in a bakery, and through a market study, the need to acquire bread was defined, for food consumption, a fundamental pillar of the Ecuadorian diet. In the beginning, the estimated production of four types with their respective recipes and cost and price projections were the origins; the investment included fixed assets, materials, supplies, human resources, and contingencies for the calculation inflation and growth of the study target population. In conclusion, the “Fundación Protección y Descanso”, located in Riobamba, was created on December 18, 2002, with ministerial agreement N 062. FUNPRODE serves people with disabilities who, due to their condition, cannot fend for themselves; these people need permanent care and therapies throughout their lives, but there have been problems related to financial resources. The recommendation is to execute the entrepreneurship to improve the income of the relatives of the foundation members.
