Resumen
This research paper materializes an analysis of the credits granted by BanEcuador B.P. and its impact on the economic impact of the productive sectors of Baños de Agua Santa Canton, during the 2015-2017 period. First, the theoretical aspects and related studies that support the relationship between credit as an essential channel of financial intermediation for economic growth were reviewed, and a detailed analysis of everything on loans granted by the public entity is offered. Next step, a detail of the productive sectors that make up the economy of Baños de Agua Santa Canton is presented, measured its growth through the Gross Value Added (VAB), and the analysis of its behavior. Finally, to measure the magnitude of the relationship and the intensity existed between the variables (economic impact and credit), the simple linear regression model was used, the procedure for which was Pearson's Correlation, estimating the loan's effect in the productive sector behavior; their influence in the tax, employment, and observing indices of profitability of representative SMEs among the clients that obtained the credits—thus demonstrating the association and incidence relationship between the variables. Based on the results obtained in the surveys empirically, it was possible to show the positive incidence of financing in the local productive sector. With the application of the mentioned model, it was statistically verified that there was a moderate positive influence between the credit and the growth of the sectorial GVA, determined according to the correlation coefficient (r) and measured across the Karl Pearson scale.
