Resumen
The present technical research aimed to design an interpretative trail through the situational diagnosis of it compiling and analyzing information based on the tourist system with components such as: territory, supply, and demand. In addition, the interpretative potential index (IPT) was evaluated through the Methodology from Morales, Varela, and Farias, also a scale was applied for protected natural areas, called the " The Likert Scale", it is a method of summary evaluations, whereas as result was obtained 0.70 / 1.00 equivalent to a resource that has adequate features to be interpreted. The audience analysis was performed on the economically active population (EAP) at Alausi canton, an online survey was applied by Google forms and it was determined that they are willing to travel the interpretive trail and the activities to perform are: walk, photography and picnic by self-guided trails with interpretive signs for 1 day. The technical study of the trail was held where it is identified as a path of natural space that has a high average difficulty with 29 of the slope for young adults and older adults with caution, it is linear type, and this trail will be self-guided type. It was calculated from the effective charge capacity which determined that the "Giant Rocks" trail may have 48.32 visits a day without negatively impacting the area, in order to know what is the cost to be investable in the design of the interpretative trail, so it was followed The mathematical model "Unit price analysis" (UPA), for this calculation was used by the PUNISv10, gving $ 50,632.51. To sum, authorities are recommended to make positive use of this work research as a tool to design the trail and activities to benefit the potential visitors of the trail.
