Resumen
The present study is focused on standardizing the welding line process for the production of Zotye brand car model T-600, in order to improve methods, balance the line, reduce downtimes, eliminate bottlenecks and implement a standard of work to each of the operators. The current situation was obtained through an analysis of time and distance with tools such as video recording cameras, analytical coursegrams, observation sheets and standardized worksheets. The results were that in JIG # 1 and JIG # 2, the workloads were unbalanced, the pump of the sealing pump # 1 did not have the proper characteristics of use and in Metalfinish there was an overload of work. To solve the unbalanced workloads, activities were reassigned; to improve the characteristics of the mentioned gun, the diameter of the nozzle was increased and for the work overload, a previous sanding station was implemented. The effects were measured, applying again the same methodology of the current situation, it was obtained that workloads of JIG # 1 and JIG # 2 were balanced and their times were lowered in relation to takt time; also in Metalfinish the workloads were minimized, which reduced the use of overtime; and finally the new standardized worksheets and work instructions were elaborated and implemented in the line. At the end of the study it was observed that the units went continuously for each of the stations, fully complying with the production plan in the times provided. Although the improvements were visible, the line has not reached perfection, that is, it is not free to find more situations to improve, and it is for this reason, it is recommended to continue applying the criterion of continuous improvement or Kaizen in methods, tools, equipment, raw materials and even in the environment.
