Resumen
The objective of this research was to reduce the appearance of preeclampsia and eclampsia in pregnant women of the Lizarzaburu parish of the Riobamba canton through the application of a timely therapeutic intervention. Preeclampsia and Eclampsia are described as the hypertensive disorders that most frequently occur during pregnancy. A pharmacological intervention was carried out that included the prescription before 16 weeks of gestation of protective drugs such as acetylsalicylic acid and calcium in pregnant women with risk factors for developing these pathologies. A quasi-experimental investigation was conducted, with longitudinal design and descriptive and correlational scope. The McNemar test was applied to evaluate the result of the intervention and chi square to determine the relationship between the study variables. There was a predominance of pregnant women between 26 and 30 years old, with an educational level of high school married and who were working. The main risk factor found was nutritional alterations due to excess. It was evidenced: a low level of early prescription of protective drugs for preeclampsia and eclampsia. . In conclusion, administration before 16 weeks of gestation of acetylsalicylic acid and calcium exerts protective action in relation to the appearance of hypertensive disorders such as preeclampsia and eclampsia (p <0.03) r It is recommended: the appropriate use of these drugs in pregnant women with risk factors and consolidate the implementation of the preconception risk program.
