In this research work, preventive risk management was developed using RPA, RULA and OCRA methods in the production area of the company PUNTOBAYTEX CÍA. LTDA. These methods determined the level of risk to which workers are exposed during their working day. The research used the Kuorinka Nordic Questionnaire and the RPA (Rapid Postural Assessment) method, which was used to obtain an initial assessment of the risks. The risk levels were then evaluated using the RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) method for forced postures and the OCRA (The Occupational Repetitive Actions) method for repetitive movements. Applying the Nordic Kuorinka questionnaire, it was found that in the last 12 months 100% of the staff had neck and shoulder discomfort. With the RPA method, it was identified that the operators are at risk level 5. Therefore, the RULA method was used to further investigate the results obtained with the RPA method, which showed that 75% of the personnel evaluated are at risk level 4. This means that the level of risk is unacceptable, requiring changes in the task or changes in the workplace. Furthermore, the OCRA method used the OCRA Check list index, which showed that 100% of the evaluated population is at an unacceptable medium risk level. Finally, risk prevention management was used to propose a Risk Prevention Plan based on a proposal for a change of furniture, staff training and a program of active breaks. It is recommended that the Risk Prevention Plan be applied in order to improve the working environment and reduce illnesses caused by the work carried out in the company, and that staff should have two medical check-ups per year.
