dc.description.abstractAt the San Gabriel farm located at Km 8 way los Bancos las Mercedes in the City San Miguel de los Bancos in the province of Pichincha, different levels of foliar fertilization (biol) were evaluated in the forage production of Brachiaria brizantha (brizantha), by the application of biol elaborated with manure of pollinaza with doses of 1,5 l, 2,5l, 3,5 l for each experimental unit. A block design was applied completely at randomly, with 5 repetitions per treatment and the size of the experimental unit was 16m2. During the first evaluation cut of the parameters stems per plant, air and basal cover parameters at 15 days and the number of stems per plant and basal coverage at 30 days did not show significant differences (P> 0.05), between treatments. While the variables height of the plant, number of leaves per stem at 15 days and height of the plant, leaves per stem, aerial cover, production of green forage and dry matter at 35 days, presented highly significant differences (P < 0.01) between treatments. The highest forage production was achieved with the T3 treatment 23.76T / ha / year, as the highest economic profitability was achieved with the same, with a cost benefit of 1.25, in the same way it is recommended to use the Biol fertilizer, in the different establishments where the Brachiara brizantha grass is used, with the application of T3, since greater forage yields were obtained in green and dry material.
