Resumen
The present research proposed to describe the anatomical characteristics of five species of forest importance (Cordia alliodora, Otoba parvifolia, Piptocoma discolor, Cedrela odorata, Guarea Kunthiana A.), from the secondary forest belonging to the community of San Pedro de Sumino, in the parish of Chonta Punta, Canton Tena, Napo Province, in order to have a database of the forestry sector. For the dendrological identification of the five forest species, the herbarium of the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo was used. For the macroscopic anatomical characteristics, a comparative table was used to analyze each specie, detailing its odor, taste, veining and texture, brightness, bark, sapwood and heartwood color. sight, touch and taste senses were used for this analysis. In order to determine the microscopic anatomical characteristics, all samples of the five forest species were subjected to a softening process at a temperature of 121 degrees Celsius, a pressure of 1,1 atmospheres, then in the microtome, histological sections were made of all the histological cuts of all sections: transverse, longitudinal and radial, obtained the samples were placed in the different stains. Then we proceeded to observe the prepared plates, the data was recorded, photographs were taken and the statistical analysis was performed. In the identification only Guarea kunthiana and Cedrala odorata belong to the same family. In the microscopic characteristics, all species were found to be different. All the species presented solitary pores of two, three and four, each specie presents a different parenchyma. It was concluded that with safranin it is possible to observe better the transversal section, the combination allowed to visualize the tangential and radial section, as well as the astrablue.
