Resumen
Uterine inversion is a rare and unpredictable clinical entity that, when presented, behaves like a true obstetric emergency, so timely, purely clinical diagnosis is essential to provide adequate management and to avoid possible maternal deaths. The case presented below corresponds to a 21-year-old female patient who is admitted by the emergency service of the Provincial General Teaching Hospital of Riobamba for pregnancy of 39 weeks of gestation plus labor in active phase, after admission to the Center Obstetric delivery occurs and followed by a uterine inversion, personal pathological history and characteristics of labor are analyzed. In the present case, the comorbidities present in the patient, the procedures performed and what their alternatives are studied, such as arriving at their diagnosis and the appropriate treatment for both uterine inversion and postpartum hemorrhage presented by the patient. It is evident at the end of his hospitalization in said health house as the patient discharges in good hemodynamic conditions, with his hemogram within normal parameters and also indicates the warning signs that may occur and how to complete the imposed treatment.
