Resumen
In the leather tanning laboratory of the FCP, of the ESPOCH, it was evaluated the design and the implementation of a mechanical prototype to recovery chrome, upon to be a descriptive evaluation it does not require to establish experimental basis units. The results show recovery chromium sulfate from the wastewater of the liqueur coming from the tanning tumblers, it reports 30,12% of return, in addition, it was obtained for each chrome sulfate gram added in the leather tanning it was recovered 0,30 gr of chrome sulfate, which was used serving to reuse it in the tanning process, in the physical analyses register the strength of the increased tension was getting in the leathers using reuse chrome (2014,10 y 2642,02 N/cm2) while to the elongation percentage (111,25 y 58,755%)and the lastometry (11,03 y 10,78 mm), the average of the conventional method (T1) was better, but there are no significant differences among numerical values it is claimed to recovery and reuse the chrome in the leather tanning it is a viable technology to obtained high quality leathers. The construction and implementation of the mechanical prototype have developed an investment of $1935, compared with the machines cost in the market to recover the chrome, it is about of $5000, it is significantly lower and it is profitable to the producer can invest and generate profits.
