Resumen
The general objective of this study was to compare the nutritional status and lipid profile in the servers attended in external nutritional consultation of the Municipal Decentralized Autonomous Government of Riobamba, 2017. The methodology was based on a non-experimental, transversal, descriptive design with primary source that the purpose was to relate variables, with a duration of 7 months, in a population of 250 adults, data were collected through an interview, medical examination, nutritional evaluation, biochemical tests, obtaining the following results: male gender was made up of 63,6%, with an average age of 39, an average of 79 kg, with an average height of 1,65 m, average body mass index (BMI) 29 kg/m², where the average body fat mass is 27,5%, in the most frequent nutritional status is overweight with 45,3%, the highest frequency total cholesterol was high (49,06%), triglycerides were high (50,94%); 36,4% represent the female gender with an average age of 38 years, an average of 66,7 kg, an average height of 1,52m, average body mass index (BMI) of 28,8 kg / m², the average of the body fat mass with 36,7%, the nutritional status shows 63,7% overweight, total cholesterol was high (49,45%), triglycerides were desirable (42,86%); The relationship nutritional status and lipid profile was p: <0.05, determining a significant relationship between the variables.
