Resumen
This experimental work was entrusted to the determination of fuel consumption and pollutant emissions in internal combustion vehicles through obtaining real driving cycles in the car fleet of Riobamba city through dynamic tests. Working with road tests of 10 vehicles, which were differentiated by their cylinder capacity, obtaining four types of driving cycles in a range of 800 with differentiation of 60 seconds of time, through the micro-cycle method. The tools to obtain the consumption parameters and emission factors were ELM327 and MAHA NET 6.3 gas analyzer, respectively, which were correlated through a Pearson analysis. The driving cycles showed a consumption of 0.42 liters to 0.915 liters per cycle; cars with the largest displacement have the highest amount of carbon dioxide: 400-450 g / km, therefore; a direct correlation of fuel consumption with the generation of CO2 is presented. The results determined that the city has high levels of pollutant emissions per driving cycle and aggressive driving which is derived from the type of driving and the scheme of the city, for which it is suggested to carry out redesigns in vehicle review analysis and traffic management in the city to avoid future environmental damage for the people of Riobamba.
