Resumen
The present research proposes: to evaluate the initial growth of 26 clones of Tropical Eucalyptus plant, Eucalyptus spp in a forest plantation located in Puerto Limón Parish, Santo Domingo; These clones were Eucalyptus Urograndis, Eucalyptus saligna and commercial seed plants of Brazilian origin in which the complete random block design was applied with 25 treatments, 6 repetitions and 1 control, thus determining the survival percentage of each treatment of the 41 clones (TI), 198 (T4), 168 (T8) 117 (T21). 128 (T22), 85 (T23), 134 (T24) and 5 (T25) of E. urograndis from Los Angeles farm, E-71-J (T2), E saligna y E-154-J (TI0) E. urograndis brought from Brazil at a 100% survival state, while clones L.A 61 (T7) and 137 (T20) had the lowest survival rate with 88.9%. In addition, an analysis of variance for diameter at collar height (DCH) and the clones height of E. urogandis. E. saligna and commercial seed plants of Brazilian origin was performed at 120 and 180 days; stating that for the variable DCH, clone L.A 177 (T21) of E urogandis of Los Angeles farm presented a higher percentage of increase with 133%, while the treatment that presented the lowest increase was clone E-71-J (T2) from Eucalyptus saligna species brought from Brazil with an increase percentage of 73%. On the other hand, in the height variable, clones LA 61 (T7) and 15 (T19) of E. urograndis from Los Angeles farm presented a higher percentage of increase in height with 154%, while the treatment that had presented the lowest increase was clone L.A 85 (T23) of E urograndis with a 100% increase percentage.
