Diagnóstico socioeconómico de la parroquia Pungalá.

Resumen
This study shows the results obtained from the socioeconomic diagnosis of the Pungalá parish, carried out within the project called “Development of basic services related to the water cycle, renewable energy and public health in rural communities, through the implementation of autonomous sanitary batteries and ecological kitchens in the parish of Pungalá”. I order to know the starting baseline of the project, the primary information collection performed through door-to-door random interviews with 292 household heads
living in the 26 communities of the parish. A mixed sampling was applied with proportional allocation according to the population density, the interview scope was about: housing, other properties, water supply, land cultivation, animal husbandry, monthly family expenses and personal information. A descriptive and correspondence analysis was performed with 95% reliability and 5% error in the samplesize calculation. With this study we identified that Pungalá under low socioeconomic group (Group D) ccording
to the socioeconomic stratification survey (INEC 2011).
