Resumen
The present investigation proposes: to design an interpretative path as a pedagogic strategy to promote the touristy use of the resources of the Luis Alfredo Martinez Institute in the canton of Ambato, Tungurahua province; the development of the trail design was fundamentally technical, of a non-experimental nature, which was carried out using bibliographic and field revision techniques at an exploratory, descriptive, analytical and proactive level. The Luis Alfredo Martinez Institution has 14 hectares of extension with ornamental, forestry and agricultural green spaces with crops of short, long cycle and pastures for the smaller species, where not all the areas of the institution have been used in the last 10 years, for this reason the Municipal GAD of Ambato wants to expropriate 8 hectares for the creation of an ornamental park. For this reason, the need arises for the design of an interpretive trail as a pedagogic strategy to encourage the touristy use of the institute's resources and to give a sustainable use to the abandoned hectares within the institution. The sector where the institution is located is conducive to the development of tourism and found in a province where large resources are generated for it, and which generate economic income with an annual increase of 6%. Through an interview with the students of the main educational units in the city of Ambato, it was determined that it is feasible to create a touristy trail in order to take advantage of existing resources and satisfy unmet demands, capturing an objective demand of 1076 visitors for the year 2019. It is concluded that the creation of the interpretive path will contribute to the total use of the natural patrimony that the institution possesses and will contribute to the development of tourism, as well as the pedagogical progress of the students.
