Resumen
The objective of the present work is the implementation of an automated system of nebulization and risk to favor the cloning of forest species in La Estacion Experimental del Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (Experimental Station of the National Institute of Agricultural Research), (INIAP) Santo Domingo. Through a touch interface screen man machine (MHI), the values of temperature and humidity were configured for later monitoring. On the other hand, an RTC module was incorporated that supplies the current date and time and a SDCARD module to store the data of humidity and temperature in a certain time. An Arduino Mega plate was programmed to receive signals from the DHT22 and FC-28 sensors to monitor nebulization and irrigation, respectively. In addition, the plate activates and deactivates the electro valves and then the hydro pneumatic pump to send pressurized water to the nebulizers, allowing reducing the temperature and increasing the relative humidity in the greenhouse. The testing process was initiated by cloning 36 bamboo cane stakes by using the conventional and the automated system. The percentage of improvement in the number of cloned stakes was 61.11% through the automated system. From 36 stakes that initiated the process, 26 were successfully cloned, while with the conventional system only 4 culminated the process. Data monitoring is of vital importance for future cloning, because it is known with which relative humidity values a particular variety of plant species reacts better. It is worth mentioning that the implemented automation of the system is much more robust and reliable, allowing to minimize the time invested by INIAP personnel in the different stages of the cloning process. More cloned species are guaranteed in less time. The user is advised to check the operating manual before handling the system.
