dc.description.abstract | The feasibility study for the implementation of a toll on primary roads in Ecuador case study Riobamba - Alausí, aimed to determine the need to implement a toll on the Riobamba - Alausí road. The investigation was carried out through a quantitative method through the application of a vehicle capacity and observation sheets related to the road system, on the other hand, it was of an analytical and synthetic nature, since it allowed collecting information from the parties involved individually to then be grouped. Once the technical study was completed, it was possible to identify the optimal location for the implementation of the toll, with the information collected it was determined in the Columbe sector because it meets the requirements, such as: TPDA greater than or equal to 4,000 vehicles, a longitudinal tangent of minimum 600 meters, a minimum distance of 50 km from its last concession toll, an elevation slope less than or equal to 5%, availability of basic services. In conclusion, the vehicular flow and the excellent state of the road is adequate for the implementation of a toll, thereby opening sources of employment and creating new businesses, therefore, this would improve the economy of the sector, reducing costs. costs in vehicle maintenance and especially with the application of routine and periodic maintenance, excessive expenses in the rehabilitation of the road are avoided, added to this it will be economically and financially profitable. It is recommended to make this project known to authorities such as the Decentralized Autonomous Government of Chimborazo, MTOP, or to the different road concessions for their respective analysis and later to delve into the subject. | |
