Resumen
The objective was to evaluate the incidence ok ketosis in the postpartum period - early lactation in cross – bred Holstein cows, and their productive and reproductive influence. It was analyzed in 20 cows of first, second, third and fourth birth the same ones that have similar handling conditions in San José de Poaló parish in Píllaro canton, Tungurahua province. Which corresponds to a cross-sectional study, the correlation and regression analysis was analyzed with STEPWISE, taking into account the collinearity according to the variance inflation value method; therefore an additive linear model was established: Incidence of ketosis= population mean + effect of number of births + effect of randomization + effect of subsamples, to test the hypothesis, for the separation of means: Tukey procedure with the level of (P ≤ 0.05) and (P ≤ 0.01), the statistical software Mini tab 18.0 was used to tabulate the information. It was obtained that the incidence of ketosis in the cows of third and fourth birth was 1,28; 1,80 mmol/ lt of BHB blood. Milk production in cows that were in the third and fourth birth was 23,08 and 24,92 lt/day. The body condition was 2,55; 2, 77; 2,63; 2,72. The live weight was 344,80 and 391,20 kg. Uterine involution at 43,80; 47,80 days. The birth interval - first service of the cows of third and fourth birth was 63,00 and 67,00 days. The labor interval – second and third service was 63,40; 69,84; 94,00; 101,60 days. The interval between services was 20,14; 26,81; 31,00; 34,60 days; the open days was 108,40; 110,84; 135,00 and 142,60 days respectively. The number of services per conception was 2,60; 2,80. When performing the correlation and regression analysis, it was analyzed by STIPWISE, demonstrating that Y = - 0,199 – 0,607 body condition + 0,00503 live weight (kg) + 0,01528 birth interval - second and third service, whose coefficient of determination was 41.40%. In conclusion an incidence of subclinical ketosis was obtained in cows of the third and fourth births with 1,28 and 1,80 mmol / lt of BHB blood, so it is recommended to provide easily digestible energy sources in the first third of lactation to avoid the presence of an increase in ketone bodies.
