Resumen
The aim of the present titration work is to present the presentation of the Addison's Disease caused by Infectious Adrenalitis (Tuberculosis) and the importance of compliance with antimicrobial treatment which has become a challenge for the health personnel. Addison's disease is a pathology characterized by the diminution of the production of hormones produced in the different levels of the adrenal glands such as corticocorticoids, mineralocorticoids and androgens. This pathology of very low incidence that depends on its etiologic factor, being the autoimmunity of greater presentation and the infection by tuberculosis although the caused one by this etiology has diminished by opportune installation of the antifimatic treatment, although in developing countries as it is the In Ecuador, tuberculosis has remained at alarming rates. This occurs with melanoderma of skin and mucous membranes, salt anxiety, electrolyte imbalance (hyponatremia, hyperkalemia), as well as impaired glucose metabolism, proteins which lead to weight loss and malnutrition. Therapeutics is focused on the improvement of hormonal levels, but the central point of treatment is to combat its etiology, which in this case is tuberculosis. The current prognosis of Addison's Disease is good due to the implementation of effective diagnostic and therapeutic methods. A case of Addison's Secondary Disease to Tuberculosis or Infectious Adrenalitis disseminated after abandoning initial treatment of pulmonary TB 13 years ago is presented.
