Resumen
The objective of this work was to know the effect of natural growth promoters, main characteristics, mode of action in the productive behavior of rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus), and the economic viability of the animal's diet for the rabbit farmer. This analysis obtained information from research studies and scientific articles in digital platforms such as Scopus, Scielo, DSpace, RedMet, Lantindex, etc. This analysis observed the use of doses of oregano, ginger, cinnamon, and propolis; acting on different pathogenic microorganisms on a small and large scale. These promoters cause alterations in the structures of the cell wall, the plasma membrane, and proteolysis. The propolis reduced significantly infestations by Coccidia spp. and increased the levels of interleukins. Other factors to take into account are: these additives positively affect productive parameters such as final weight 2.80 kg (1ml cinnamon) and 2.51 (37.5mg propolis); weight gain 2.02 kg (1ml cinnamon) and 1.27kg (37.5 mg propolis); feed consumption 8.05 (150g oregano); feed conversion 4.43 (37.5mg propolis); finally weight and carcass yield 1.39kg and 55. 86% (37.5 mg propolis); 1.23kg and 55.53% (ginger). Regarding economic feasibility, gains of 0.71$ and 0.28$ cents were perceived when incorporating cinnamon and oregano. This analysis showed that the use of cinnamon had a positive effect on the animal's growth and intestinal health, obtaining a final weight of 2.08kg and a weight gain of 2.02kg; propolis contributed in the fattening stage, reflecting a weight and carcass yield of 1.39kg and 55.86%, respectively. For this reason, it is important to continue with organoleptic studies of rabbit meat after using these natural growth promoters.
