Resumen
The objective of this research work was to improve the automatic control systems of the production process and energy management in the balanced feed plant Grupo Avícola San Vicente, to increase and optimize its production capacity. Therefore, an orderly and logical process was followed that began with the determination of the current technical and operational status of the automatic control systems, through a weighting model based on safety, environment, operation and non-operation criteria. It defined that the plant was in a regular technical condition; then the energy management of the feed plant was evaluated by conducting measurements of the main electrical parameters such as: voltage, current, reactive power and factor power using a Siemens SENTRON PAC3100 multi-function meter, which showed a low power factor (0,75) in the automatic control system. Hence, these results were determined and implemented improvement actions. The main ones were: reprogramming the automatic control system in TIA portal V15, coupling a control of electrical parameters with an intuitive interface for the operators; installation of a condeser bank and the SENTRON PAC3100 multimeter on the main control board. Through tests carried out, improvement in the operation of the automatic control system was evidenced, being displayed on-screen HMI the electrical parameters measured by the multimeter, where the power factor value increased from 0,75 to 0,97, and the reactive energy was reduced from 14.4 kVAr to 4.4 kVAr. This was thanks to the condenser bank; thus reducing electricity costs and avoiding penalties for the plant. It is recommended to carry out the improvement actions that were proposed in this work.
