The objective of this research work was to evaluate three doses of Nitrogen on the yield of three varieties of malting barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) at the Tunshi Experimental Station. A randomized complete block experimental design with a 3 x 3 factorial arrangement and three replications was used. The statistical analysis was performed using ANOVA to separation from means using the LSD Fisher test at 10%. The treatments corresponded to three varieties of malting barley: Andreia, INIAP Alfa, and Cañicapa, with three doses of nitrogen fertilization: 0 kg N/ha, 75 kg N/ha, and 150 Kg N/ha, which were applied one week after planting: commercial yield kg/ha, the weight of 1000 grains, number of plants, tillers and spikes per m2, chlorophyll content by N-Tester sensor, days to germination, gleaning, and ripening, number of grains per spike. The best yield was obtained by the INIAP Alfa variety with a dose of 150 kg N/ha, obtaining a yield of 10141 kg/ha. In the agricultural optimum, the best doses for the INIAP Alfa and Andreia varieties were found to be 116 kg N/ha for a yield of 10692 kg/ha and 6765 kg/ha, respectively. For the Cañicapa variety, a dose of 87 kg N/ha was needed to obtain a yield of 8991 kg/ha. It was concluded that the doses of 75 kg N/ha and 150 kg N/ha obtained the best yields in the malting barley crop. It is recommended to crop the INIAP Alfa variety for its high yields.
