Resumen
The present investigation proposes: to determine the quality of water through the use of chemical-chemical and biological parameters in 8 bofedales of the Chimborazo Fauna Production Reserve; for which an inventory of macroinvertebrates was made of each of the bofedales studied where they were collected using the red method of Surber and direct capture, 4757 individuals distributed in 21 families, the most abundant being the Hyalellidae and Limnephilidae families, the same ones that belong to the trophic group of fragmenters and that show a high agricultural and livestock activity very close to the bofedal. Subsequently, the analysis of the physical and chemical parameters was carried out based on the results obtained from the Environmental Analytical Laboratory Water-Effluents Industrial LASA, and compared with the water quality criteria given by the Ministry of Environment of Ecuador (2015) in its TULSMA document for human consumption, agricultural and livestock use, and wildlife conservation, which shows that all parameters analyzed are within the quality criteria except BOD5 and COD data in most bofedales, The physical and chemical parameters were also analyzed through the ICA-NFS (1970) with the Delphi method and through the online system "Calculator" of the Water Research Center, Developed by Oram (2015), where quality was obtained of water from the bofedales The same that have been seen from a range of GOOD to EXCELLENT quality. Finally, the water quality was analyzed using the biological indications: EPT, BMWP / Col, ABI / Ecuador and Index adapted to the bofedales of the RPFCH, where a water quality was obtained that goes from the Very Bad / Critical range in the ANI Ice Coolers an Excellent automatically on the Ayora ANI Bridge bofedal.
