Resumen
This study aims to analyze the socio-economic impact in the productive units of the agricultural
sector of Quimiag, Chimborazo province, by means of the micro credit granted by BAN ECUADOR
during
2017.
The
research
methodology
was
based
on
an
experimental
study
since
each
one
of the variables was manipulated. After having identified the problem, it was conducted a
diagnosis by means of surveys and analyses of indicators, which helped to determine the socioeconomic
impact in families before, and after receiving micro-credits. The findings demonstrated
the incidence generated in relation to the income represented by 4.54% for the families since with
the granting of micro credits they could reinvest in the agricultural production, and in this way to
get greater profits, while for the social aspect the level of training showed an incidence in 6.48%,
and the level of housing after having obtained microcredits, increased by 1.73% however; the rates
of growth in the agricultural sector have been benefited in the most of the families. It is
recommended to take into account the mechanisms proposed in this research in order to be able to
manage appropriately the granting of micro credits for other similar populations in order to benefit
them, as well as to ensure that the standard of living of the people holds on a positive impact.
