Resumen
The present research work was carried out with aim of designing and implementing the automated system for the packaging of semi – flexible fluids in the N°2 tarring machine at Extractor and Processor of Oils EPACEM S.A in Santo Domingo city. Firstly, it identified the process to automate with equipment involved in the same for election of appropriate elements. In addition, the planimetry was approved by the maintenance area of enterprise. On the other hand, the load cells were calibrated for the weight control in the dosing of pots; then grad motors were measured. The mechanical parts were assembled and then the control system was programmed and configured using Tia Portal software to determine the sequence to be performed, symbols view, logic to be applied, ladder diagram, and variable view for human interface machine (HMI). The available system of four solenoid valves for pre-filling and filling of butter in pots; an HMI screen, which allows regulating the weight required packing each pot. Once the system was programmed and configured, the respective tests were performed to verify the correct operation of the automated machine. The data collected, with the implemented system were processed in a statistical descriptive analysis, resulting in a slight variation of the weight per packaged jar, obtaining a low margin of error. The automated system allows filling the cartons with product in a clean way and complying policies and standards of the enterprise, so the system was satisfactorily accepted. It is important to give preventive maintenance to the tarring machine to keep the machine in good condition and continue the correct operation.
