Resumen
The present research proposes to carry out the ethnobotanical study of plant biodiversity located in the Verde Sumaco community, Orellana Province; through the characterization of the environmental units, participatory inventory of knowledge and use of plant biodiversity, systematization of information according to the use of the species, the collection area, form of cultural transmission and the part of the plant used, as a product preparation of a guide of plants for the community. The ecosystem classification system of Continental Ecuador proposed by the MAE was used in 2012, two ecosystems were identified, the evergreen lowland forest from the Napo-Curaray and the evergreen piedmont forest from the North of the Eastern mountain range of the Andes and with a mapping workshop through the traditional classification of the natural environmemt into the Spatial logic of the community were identified zones: tourist, populated, agricultural and protection. The information was systematized according to the use of the species, the highest use is for medicinal use with 67%, the area with the greatest use for collecting species are the chakras with 53%, the cultural transmission that has prevailed is the vertical transmission with 84% and the parts of the plant mostly used are the stem and leaves with 29% respectively. We identified 140 species, which have their name in Kichwa and Spanish, scientific name, family, descrption of the species and a photograph. As a result, a guide of didactic plants for the community of tourist and informative use was made. It is concluded that the research was fully carried out with the proposed objectives, and it is recimmended to carry out out ethnobotanical studies that rescue the knowledge and ancestral knowledge about the use of nature.
