Resumen
In the “Rincón Andino” apiary located in the San Andrés parish, Guano canton, Chimborazo province, the research “Implementation of semiautomatic hives (flow hive frames) as a means for the honey production and harvest” was carried out. The objectives were to it implement semiautomatic hives (flow hive frames) as a means for honey production and harvest; to observe the adaptability of bees (Apis mellifera) to flow hive frames for the honey production; to determine the efficiency of flow hive frames for the honey production and extraction; to this investigation a descriptive statistic was applied, evaluating the following parameters T Students, Descriptive: Median, Mode, Standard Deviation, Range, Analysis Frequencies, during 60 days of the research, favorable results were obtained that positively adapted Apis mellifera bees to frames flow hive frames, in terms of harvest time, the best result was obtained for R4 with 6.67 minutes. In the honey production variable, the following date were obtained for T0 (conventional hive) the highest production was achieved, which was 13.48 kg. The bees (Apis mellifera), were adapted positively to the flow hive frames being these means used by the bees for the production of honey, and when compared with conventional frameworks, there were no significant differences.
