Resumen
The present research work “Implementation of an Automatic System through the use of a PLC (Programmable Logic Control) for the production of yogurt in Tunshi-Espoch dairy plant”,has as purpose to provide the production of yogurt,through an autonomous system,effective as regards at temperatures and speeds of stir of the product.The necessary information is collected and analyzed to design the most appropriate mechanical and electronic system for the processs,trying to optimize the available resources.The whole system is built in stainless Steel 304,and it is controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) LOGO V8, which works with a Man Machine Interface (MMI) LOGO TDE, which are responsable for receiving data from the temperatura sensor and pushbuttons to process and control the actuators of the system as a direct current (DC) motor, through the use of relays and power circuits.The entire system is controlled by a user interface (MMI) designed in LOGOSOFT COMFORT 8. With the system described above, an improvement up to 50% is achieved in terms of production time and an optimization up to 1.16% compared to traditional process of product manufacture. It is recommended that the container has a cylindrical shape with a conical bottom, has a correct calibration of the temperatura sensor and that the raw material is the most adequate to obtain a quality product.
