Resumen
The present research proposes the geometric optimization of the connecting road of a 100 CC internal-combustion engine; implementing the finite elements method, the theory of mechanical design, selection of materials, and the temporary analysis of applied loads in the piston combination- connecting road during a normal functioning cycle. In the engineering analysis assisted by computer, at times, suspicions of several existing forces must be considered in the normal functioning environment. This generates overstated and little efficient elements. For this reason, a piezoelectric sensor connected to a power spark plug is implemented in order to measure the pressure that is produced inside the cylinder. These measures are registered on a computer implementing an interface of data acquisition card DAC USB 6009 which is programmed to transform the obtaining results into a chart that represents the functioning cycle of the motor. This chart indicates that the effort resulting from the times of admission, compression and exhaust are really low; while in the combustion time, it reaches the highest peak of the mean effective pressure equals to 5,956 bars. This is analyzed in the design software determining the best geometrical optimization proposal.
