Resumen
The objective was the implementation of materials cutting machine for the theoretical-practical
development in the Materials Engineering laboratory in the Faculty of Mechanics, the purpose of
which was to automate a cutting machine to provide ease of use and safety to students and teachers
who will use the machine to cut a metallographic specimen without losing the properties of the
materials. The development of the work began with the analysis of the basic principle of cutting
techniques, in the same way, the operation of the machine was analyzed allowing to identify the
necessary parameters to be able to be automated and to achieve a machine of easy use providing
safety to the operator, later the different cutting machines with different cooling systems and
advances were analyzed, then, an automated system that was coupled to the different functions
performed by the machine was made, during this analysis the construction of the automated
cutting machine capable of cutting depending on the material (steel, iron, etc.) was carried out,
the same that consists of an automated cutting machine that consists of an automatic cutting
machine that can perform a cut depending on the material (steel, iron, etc.). ), the same that
consists of a cooling system in the cut allowing to maintain the properties of the materials, ending
with the obtaining of a cutter that performs a quality cut providing safety to the operator, therefore
it is recommended to place a more rigid clamping system to cut materials of larger dimensions
since in this way the efficiency of the machine is optimized and obtain greater security at the time
of its operation.
