Resumen
The objective of this work was the combination of the a-synchronic collaborative tools
applied to the subject of computation with the students of the second cycles of the ITS
"Carlos Cisneros". The primary role of the teacher is to improve the teaching - learning
process, and in order to meet this objective he must know, manage and apply digital
tools (Tics), be them a-synchronic or synchronic; by strengthening the collaborative
work in the student. Asynchronous collaborative tools such as: the blog, the email and
the forum allow access to information and to work in different environments, without
the necessity of being gathered in the same place, sharing and generating information in
different formats such as: text, audio, video, etc. The working concept is similar to that
of client - server, where the client is the user who makes use of the service and the
server is the one who offers the service. For this purpose, the work was performed with
students of the second cycles, resulting in: 68% of the teachers consider that the use of
the blog constitutes a greater communication platform where the students and the
teacher interact, they know what they write since they release periodic publications, the
84 % of teachers who use email as a collaborative tool, consider that it improves
communication with their students and 72% of teachers who use the forums indicate
that, by this means, debate, agreement and consensus with their students can be
produced, concluding that the teacher can contribute in the integral formation of the
student, either working in public or private sites via online, using a-synchronic
collaborative tools, so it is recommended to work with this type of tools to generate the
construction of knowledge within the students and at their own learning pace.
