Resumen
The objective of this technical project is to design a wastewater treatment system for the parish of San Bartolomé de Pinllo, canton Ambato, Tungurahua province, whose design flow is 18.8 L/s, using waste water characterization. Parameters: Fecal Coliform (8100 CFU/100ml), BOD5 (276mg / L), COD (672 mg /L), Kjedahl Total Nitrogen (195.63mg / L) and surfactants (1.35mg / L) do not comply with the Agreement. Ministerial No. 097-A table 9. LIMITS OF DEPOSAL TO A SWEET WATER BODY of the TULSMA Reform. Calculating the relationship between biochemical demand and oxygen chemical demand, the value of the biodegradability index was obtained, which is 2.75, which indicates that the organic matter is moderately biodegradable, opting for a physical -chemical treatment due to the results obtained in the laboratory When carrying out traceability tests, the following chemicals were selected : aluminum polycarbonate (PAC - P25A) 2 mL/L in 10 % resolution and 0.12 ml sodium hypochlorite, with which the results of the treatment were: absence of fecal coliforms, BODS (155 mg/L) Kjedahl Total Nitrogen (19 mg/L), Ammonia Nitrogen (6.375 mg/L), Total Suspended Sodias (5 mg/L), Oils and Fats (22.25 mg/L) and Surfactants (0.43 mg/L) same that comply with the current standard to be downloaded freely to the water body. In conclusion, the following processes were designed: inlet channel, grids, grease trap, mixer tank, high rate settler, sand and gravel filter, chlorination tank and drying bed with a high percentage of average removal of the plant. Treatment of 94.39 % complying effectively with environmental regulations. It is recommended to transfer the dehydrated sludge to a sanitary landfill as a final disposal.
