Resumen
This technical work aimed to improve the performance of the G10 engine of the vehicle Suzuki Forsa 1 regarding the characteristic curves of torque and power. Thus, an independent ITB (Individual Throttle Body) intake system was adapted, COP (Coil On Plug) ignition, sensors, and a programmable control unit of the MegaSquirt 2Pro brand. It allowed more efficient control of the amount of air and fuel entering the engine as well as its combustion process. Bibliographic research was carried out to achieve this, and the experimental method was used combined with the scientific method, which allowed the adaptation of the different components. Through the modification of different variables in the maps of the ECU, it was possible to obtain gain in the torque and power. Likewise, it was implemented the comparative method to analyze the engine performance. It was employed a roller dynamometer to obtain the results. Data could be collected with the vehicle in initial conditions and after making the modifications and tuning of the G10 engine. With this, a comparative analysis of the results was carried out. It concluded that after implementing the different systems in the vehicle Suzuki Forsa Uno obtained a percentage gain in terms of the power of 19.93% and a torque gain percentage of 2.12%. Finally, it is recommended to adjust the operating parameters based on the fuel and ignition maps provided by the unit programmable control according to the operating conditions to which it will be subjected the vehicle, thus being able to obtain better results on the roller dynamometer.
