Carapungo Avenue because it is bordering the Chaquishcahuayco ravine and because it has
high transverse slopes and an insufficient drainage system suffered a landslide on March 17, 2016
on one of its slopes, which is 50 m from the bridge over the Chaquishcahuayco ravine, for this
reason, vehicular circulation was impeded, thus affecting the residents of the sector.
Due to the great importance of Carapungo Avenue, the Public Company for Mobility and
Public Works in order to satisfy the needs of the aforementioned population and safeguard its
safety, designed and subsequently built a structure on the so-called "slope 1", Made up of 12 beams
joined by mooring beams, which were fixed to the terrain of the track by means of 24 anchors (2
per beam), this system is for the most part supported on the existing track and replaces the portion
of approximately 1.5 meters of the road that was eroded and detached due to surface runoff.
The purpose of this study is to carry out a technical comparison of the built work, which
after carrying out the topography processing, carrying out a geotechnical and stability analysis of
slopes, finally based on this, the proposed structure is designed.
