This project describes the process of development and implementation of an automatic system for the assembly of plastic liquids dispensers within the company TAPENSA, located in Carcelén in the city of Quito-Ecuador, in the production area in order to optimize the process, improve the manual system that is used for the assembly of dispensers, which depended totally on personnel dedicated specifically to this task. This project incorporates an automatic system that allows the assembly of plastic dispensers reducing the personnel that is currently needed for this work and increasing the daily production of dispensers. Industrial devices were used, such as: a programmable logic controller (PLC), sensors, actuators screens and electro-pneumatic systems with their respective protections and connections that allow the assembly of the dosers by means of an automatic assembly line where the supply of the pieces is Automatic, once the pieces are entered into the system, they are inserted one by one into an indexing system which moves them through 2 assembly stations. The system has supply subsystems in charge of positioning parts for both the one and the other station.
For the first station, two pieces are attached together with a dosing cylinder which inserts a plastic sphere in the glass; On the other hand, in the second station the mechanical assembly of the set of pieces is carried out by means of a vertical cylinder and mechanical couplings.
