The purpose of this work is to design and analyze the implementation of a controlled mechanical ventilation system with a heat recovery system for a 90 m2 single-family home it´s located in Quito-Ecuador, with the aim of obtaining low energy consumption taking into account that this system will be working most of the time compared to traditional ventilation systems like air conditioners and heating. This is being developed through a process of analysis and obtaining the necessary data to perform the respective calculations such as thermal loads and determination of the minimum flow necessary to select the right equipment that meets the required and optimal conditions to fulfill its function. The monthly operating costs of the equipment have also been established, which implies keeping the interior air of the house in optimal conditions, guaranteeing thermal comfort for the occupants of the house. Once the study is completed, it is being concluded that an IDEO2 325 ECOWATT controlled mechanical ventilation equipment from the manufacturer Soler & Palau is required for the air-conditioned ventilation system of the single-family home. Through a financial analysis, a total project cost of $6 039,08 was obtained.
