The Agency for Safety and Health at Work defines: work stress as a psychological state that is an integral part of the interactions between people and their work environment. In addition, work stress is defined as a series of emotional, cognitive, physiological and behavioral responses to some adverse or harmful aspect of a person's work content, organization or environment, characterized by a state of high agitation or stress (Fernandez, 2005). It is considered a stressor to the information process, including various stimuli from the environment.
Subjective well-being is the result of the integration of two conceptual traditions: one refers to the hedonistic tradition of subjective well-being, and the other refers to the tradition oriented to happiness and mental health and developing human potential (Cornejo and Quiñonez, 2007).
Subjective well-being focuses on the emotional aspect, referring to the subject's feelings and how and why people view their lives positively (Díaz, Rodríguez, Carvajal, Blanco, Moreno, Jiménez, Gallardo, Valle, & Dierendonck, 2006).
As a result of the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the virtual modality had to be implemented during teaching and as a consequence this problem worsened in this private institution.
The objective of this research focuses on the influence of work stress on subjective well-being in the teaching area. The research is in accordance with a cross-sectional study, with a sample of 48 individuals working in the private institution. The survey was used as a method to obtain the results, this survey consists of 22 items, which will contain 5 response options on a Likert scale, answers that can be always, sometimes yes, rarely, frequently, sometimes no.
Virtual tools were used, where the "Scale of Physical and Psychoemotional Indicators of Stress" was used to collect information on how stress at work influences subjective well-being with the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic.
