Electric vehicles are widely regarded as a promising solution for reducing air pollution in cities and a key to low-carbon mobility. However, their environmental benefits depend on the temporal and spatial context of actual use, and the deployment of electric vehicles is complicated by issues such as limited scope. This work proposes a heuristic for the insertion of electric vehicles, as well as the optimal location of charging stations given in a georeferenced distribution network scenario, using the energy consumption associated with the characteristics of electric vehicles that was developed based on real data, reducing the minimum location of charging stations.
Additionally, the voltage profile, chargeability and losses in each node are evaluated in the Santo Domingo distribution network in order to guarantee a technical and economic balance.
