La investigación biográfico narrativa. Desafíos ontológicos para la investigación y la enseñanza en la formación de formadores

Resumen
This article discusses part of the work of a research team in a state university in Argentina. It particularly deals
with the potential of biographical-narrative research in disclosing the humane dimensions implied in researching
and teaching in the context of teacher education. It thus defies the alleged legitimacy of certain kinds of knowledge
and the claims of scientific truth they embody, revealing a sort of parallel curriculum which is extremely influential
in the construction of professional identities. Though the use of the biographical-narrative research is sometimes
questioned and described as borderline, its potential for exposing the humane, emotional nature of knowledge in the
teaching profession is now undeniable. This article offers testimonies on the value of this method and the challenges
it nevertheless implies.
